A retirement dream realised!

This lovely couple from Brisbane discovered a solid lowset brick home in a prime Sunshine Coast location, ready for transformation. With good bones intact, they decided to gut everything and start afresh. They partnered with a local builder and a Brisbane-based draftsman, but busy schedules made frequent trips to the Sunshine Coast impractical. Enter the local interior designer — me! I stepped in to manage the project and keep things on track. A strong collaboration flourished between the builder, the clients, and myself. With their draftsman unable to visit the site, we faced unexpected changes, but together we navigated the adjustments, keeping the project timeline flowing and saving the client time and money. Their dream home was on the horizon! This renovation successfully blends contemporary design with coastal elements, creating a stylish, functional, and inviting home. The careful selection of materials, colors, and decor creates a light and airy feeling, while accents of darker colors in the furniture and fixtures add depth without overwhelming the space. The finished result speaks for itself - a modern interpretation of coastal living - both timeless and fresh. And the owners threw a huge party there for all of us to celebrate!
